Wyoming Liberty Group - Staff

The Wyoming Liberty Group is an educational institute that provides policy research, professional forums, information about government processes, and an environment that nourishes interest in liberty. Our staff come from a diverse set of backgrounds and life experiences, but we are united in our commitment to the principles of Essential Citizenship.

 

 

Susan Gore started Wyoming Liberty Group in 2008 as a voice for Wyoming's founding principles of a lively, robust, responsible citizenry served by an efficient and responsive government that observes boundaries proper to it.

 
Regina Meena has nineteen years experience in public policy development, administration and legislative affairs in the areas of employment, health care, education and developmental disabilities.  She was a fellow in Governor Jim Geringer’s office working in areas of business development and water rights.  Her private enterprise experiences also included grant writing and contract management.  Regina holds Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Education, and a Master degree in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming.
 

Benjamin Barr serves of counsel with the Wyoming Liberty Group. Barr is an attorney with a national practice specializing in the area of constitutional law. He has litigated constitutional concerns in federal courts throughout the nation in favor of individual liberty. Most recently, the US Supreme Court relied on a brief drafted on behalf of the Wyoming Liberty Group to reshape its reasoning in Citizens United v. FEC.

Charles Ware handles Legislative Affairs for the Wyoming Liberty Group.He has fifteen years experience working as a lobbyist in Wyoming. He lobbied at the national level while he was Chairperson for the National Association of Workforce Boards in 2006. He has been with the Wyoming Liberty Group for over a year.

Sven Larson's research on health policy, taxes and government budgeting and entitlement reform has been published by several free-market think tanks, including the Heritage Foundation, Civitas Institute, South Carolina Policy Council and the Wyoming Liberty Group. He has also provided his expertise in radio and TV interviews. He holds a Ph.D. in social sciences with major in economics and has taught economics at colleges in three different countries.

 

 

Carolyn Paseneaux served in the Wyoming State House of Representatives for a decade, chairing Labor Health and Human Services and Water, Public Lands and Agriculture Committees. She also served as chair of a special Joint House and Senate Management Audit Coimmittee. She has degrees in Law, Counseling Psychology, English Education and Corrections. She has served as a lobbyist for over fifteen years and has appeared before Congress testifying on land use, water and endangered species issues. She joined the Wyoming Liberty Group in 2009.

 

Vern Cox obtained a bachelors degree in psychology from Southern Utah State University.  He then taught high school learning disabilities for four years.  He then received a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Wisconsin followed by a Ph.D. in the same field at Brigham Young University.  After graduating, Vern worked at a mental health center in western Wyoming.  After 10 years as a psychotherapist he was appointed as the executive director where he worked for the next 13 years.  Over the last 10 years Vern studied the Constitution and principles of freedom.  He started teaching classes to others because of his concern for our loss of our freedoms.  Last year he joined the Wyoming Liberty Group.  Vern and Joyce, his wife, are the parents of eight children.

 

 

Eli

Eli Cox was born in Orem, Utah but raised in Star Valley, Wyo. He is currently attending the University of Wyoming studying Accounting and Computer Science as a dual major. Eli served as a missionary in Argentina for two years from 2003-05 and been deployed with the Wyoming National Guard twice, once to Iraq. He married wife to Rachael in May of 2009.

Investigative Reporter Anthony McConnell was born and raised in Cody, Wy. He has degrees in photography, print journalism and speech communications. Before joining the staff of the Wyoming Liberty Group he was self employed as a portrait and wedding photographer and worked at the Cody Enterprise covering city government, district and municipal courts and the West Park Hospital District.

 

Martha Pollock is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a strong background in marketing, management and customer service. Martha handles the day to day administration, membership development and special events for the Wyoming Liberty Group. She has lived in Cheyenne for 13 years with her husband, 2 daughters and several pets.
